Skills training and mentorship programme

In-depth research and data analysis on streetism in Accra revealed single parenting as a primary driver of this issue. Guided by this insight, the Save a Street Child Foundation launched The Skills Training and Mentorship Programme to address the root causes of streetism and foster a brighter future for marginalized groups.

The program, held at the Avalon Gardens Event Centre in Accra on Thursday, December 26th, 2024 aims to transform the lives of street children and unemployed single parents.
Renowned guests, including Award-winning Actress and Entrepreneur Ms. Fella Makafui and Mrs. Karen Kane Takyi, CEO of KASH FASHION, shared their inspiring experiences and motivational stories with the beneficiaries.

Miss Janet Abena Quainoo, Founder and Executive Director of the foundation, encouraged participants to take the training seriously to achieve desired results.
Additionally, Mrs. Ivy Appiah, CEO of Tiwajo Industries, conducted a practical training session on manufacturing shower gel, liquid soap, and floor cleaner for the single parents.

Upon completion of the training, participants received certificates of participation.
Guest speakers were also presented with citation of honour for their swift response when called upon.
Since its inception in December 2016, the Save a Street Child Foundation has worked tirelessly to reduce the statistics of streetism and support marginalized communities.”
