Combat streetism in Ghana
In many parts of the world, children live rough on the streets.
This is often due to rising urbanization and the challenging socioeconomic conditions that rural families face.
As part of efforts to combat streetism in Ghana, the Save a Street Child Foundation launched its Second Mentorship Series in Accra on 28th April, 2018.
This is an initiative to encourage single parents without a stable source of income to work hard despite the odds. Ms. Obuobia Darko-Opoku, the programme’s guest speaker, stated that streetism can be reduced to a bare minimum if all parents follow their obligations.
She advised the parents to do everything it takes to keep their children safe.
